Pelvic floor muscle strength measurement and stress incontinence

Prior to the course

This is the vaginal clenching graph of a lady born in 1928. She had experienced very serious pelvic floor muscle weakness along with incontinence. She learned the Pelvic Floor Education Programme in ten one-hour training sessions as it was difficult for her to concentrate for more than one hour.

After 10 weeks of practicing

The result was spectacular: the woman’s clenching force increased and her incontinence was dramatically reduced, for which she was extremely grateful. She can take the credit for this, because after learning the exercises she carried out regular, daily practice. At that point, she had been exercising regularly for 10 weeks. The really effective training started only after this period, by receiving and practicing her individual training programme.
